The restaurant atmosphere is also very similar to Mexico However when I pay the Bill they refuse to accept Mexican currency. Why did they do this? Can they be sued? If so, under what law?

Same currency for all of North America, not just USA? I was at a family party recently when the conversation turned to talking about US currency vs. Canadian and Mexican currency. Then some spoke up that he heard earlier this year that they were talking about creating one form for the entire North American and continent, encompassing the USA, Canada, and Mexico. They also said that this form of currency will take place by 2009. I had not heard this anywhere else and I'm on MSNBC quite a lot. Has anyone else heard this and if so can you provide a link to a news article talking about it?
When Ex-Mexican President Fox said he and Bush were long term planning a regional currency, what did he mean? http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0710/08/lkl.01.html "KING: E-mail from Mrs. Gonzalez in Elizabeth, New Jersey. "Mr. Fox, I would like to know how you feel about the possibility of having a Latin America united with one currency?" FOX: Long term, very long term. What we propose together, President Bush and myself, it's ALCA, which is a trade union for all of the Americas. And everything was running fluently until Hugo Chavez came. He decided to isolate himself. He decided to combat the idea and destroy the idea... KING: It's going to be like the euro dollar, you mean? FOX: Well, that would be long, long term. I think the processes to go, first step into is trading agreement. And then further on, a new vision, like we are trying to do with NAFTA." Does that sound like a plan you'd like? A plan that maybe should have been circulated here, for discussion, first? What do you think?
Do you know anything about Mexican Coins? I have several Mexican Coins. The Gold coins are $100 and the Silver coins are $200. I have $1300.00 (mex) of these coins. The mex to usd currency conversion is a little over 100.00 usd. Do you know anything about these coins? Are they worth more as gold and silver than currency conversion?

What do you think Texas Official Claims Terrorists Have Been Apprehended on Mexican Border? ARTICLE SYNOPSIS: The Texas Director of Homeland Security claimed in a September 12th speech that border crossers with ties to Middle East terrorists groups have been arrested in his state. Follow this link to the original source: "Security chief says terrorists have been arrested on Texas border" COMMENTARY: Steve McCraw, the top homeland security official for the Lone Star State, pointed to his knowledge that individuals with links to terrorism have crossed the border from Mexico. In his speech before the North Texas Crime Commission, he said that persons apprehended at the border had ties to such identifiable terrorist groups as Hezbollah, Hamas and al-Qaeda. Expanding on his rather sensational accusation, McCraw said that, since March 2006, 347 individuals from "terrorist-related countries" have been arrested at the border. Since last year, he added, the number from Iraq alone has "tripled." He identified Farida Goolam Mahomed Ahmed as the most notable terrorism-related detainee. After wading across the Rio Grande, she was apprehended in July 2004 carrying large amounts of currency and a doctored South African passport. She was wanted for questioning about the bombing of a U.S. consulate. Suspicions about her had also been raised by a U.S. congressman, but she was eventually deported to South Africa. A spokeswoman for the El Paso office of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency said she was unaware of any border arrests of persons linked to terrorism. But McCraw's claims have been corroborated by National Intelligence Director Mike McConnell. In August, McConnell told the El Paso Times that persons with known connections to terrorist groups had been caught crossing the border from Mexico. McCraw summed up his remarks with, "A porous border without question is a national security threat." Yet, despite warnings given by him and many others, the Bush administration has done little to address this serious problem. http://www.jbs.org/node/5517 Mexicans know the border better than we do.Living close to it,I know they have routes that they use to drive back and forth at will.If there is another attack within our borders,it will be because our Govt.,for some weird reason, and they have many, did not and will not, secure the borders. We are committed to life and death situations with other countries to secure their safety and secure their borders, but where is the Govt.we need for America?Their attempt to wholesale our country with the shamnesty stuff opened a lot of peoples eyes. And,they are still at it trying to revive a dead horse.I hope voters do not have a short memory.

Where can I find information on currency exchange limits from Pesos to Dollars? My father who was a legal US resident and a Mexican Citizen has died and my mother is in the process of liquidating his properties in Mexico. I need to find out what are the exchange limits for converting Pesos into Dollars. Thank you for the exchange rate, but that was not what I was looking for. What I am looking for is information of penalties that would occur for converting millions of pesos into dollars. Neither Mexico or the US likes citizens to cross borders with large sums of money. I'm in the process of iiquidating my father's estate in Mexico and transfering the funds to the US. The question I have is what fees are their when one transfers large sums of money from one country to the next.
Cash or travelers checks for my trip to Mexico? I'm going to an all inclusive resort in Mexico and have never been to the country. I don't need to take alot of money but I want some money on hand for small purchases and a tour to Chichen Itza. I do not want to use my credit card because of fees charged by my bank for international purchases. Should I take cash and convert to mexican currency when I arrive or should I take travelers checks? I have about $500 to take, what should I do?
anyone know where in Tucson, AZ or close I can can in some Mexican Pecos this weekend or even monday at latest? I am asking this ? for a friend who doesn''t have a computer, let alone know how to use one. Anyway, she has alot of Mexican currency, one of which is a 5000.00 (I have heard that is out of circulation now since 1993 now though so it might not be worth anything but on the other hand i have been on-line on various currency calculators that say it's worth $370 to $441 as of today?? so I don't know about that one). But as far as the smaller ones up to 1000 that they still make, does anyone know where i can cash them in for US dollars preferably this weekend or else where should I look to on Monday. If anyone knows send me a link, or specific directions, or website, phone number, or whatever. Thanks everyone!
What kind of currency should I take to Mexico? I am going to go on vacation in Cancun for a week, but what kind of currency should I take, and how much? Should I take some of each (Canadian and American dollars, and Mexican Pesos)? Should I just take one, or two?
Can I convert Mexican Pesos to CUCs in Cuba? I know I can´t take US dollars, and I keep reading that the best currency to take is pounds or euros. But I am in Mexico and don´t have any! So should I take Mexican Pesos and expect that they can be changed? Otherwise, I have a bank card, (not from a US bank). Does anyone know if they generally work in Cuba at ATMs??
Should North America have one currency? Would North America benefit from adopting the "Amero" currency which would unify the US dollar, the Canadian dollar, and the Mexican peso? Would this help to support the Manifest Destiny theory?
The new US currency called the Amero? Do any of you believe that there really are plans to have the Canadian dollar, the Mexican Peco and the US dollar become one new currency called the AMERO. (Sort of like what they did with the EURO in Europe)
I need help understanding currency conversions? basically if you take a USD (which is a U.S. dollar) and convert it into a Mexican peso and the conversion unto pesos is about 10.6 is that more of a dollar or less? Would that mean that 10.6 Mexican pesos is like ten American dollars?
Why dont the United States,Canada, and Mexico Make a common currency? think about it if the Mexican and the U.S. currency were the same they wouldn't ship jobs down there because all they would get is shoddy products and with a common currency with those 3 countries we could beat the euro back into the dirt and take our good money for a cheap vacation in Europe ok look even if you just combined the U.S. and Canada that's two fairly large economies that are bound to turn out a very valuable currency
Euro, Amero, Pan Asian currency, any truth to this??? Rumors seem to be floating around about three seperate currencies on the global scene. The Euro is well known about, BUT, a Pan Asian let alone Amero currency??? I mean to get Japan to go along with a Pan Asian currency would seem ridiculous enough! As far as the American dollar going to a "AMERO" currency to encompass both Canada & Mexican economies seems absolutly preposterous to me. I mean what American would allow this? This would be tantamount to going to an international controlled currency! Any body else picking up on this???
US Currency Devaluation? I have been following closely the US currency and as everyone can see, the US currency has fallen against most major currency including the Euro, Yen, Renminbi and even the Canadian dollar. Until last week, I have also noticed that the US Dollar has fallen over 25 cents to the Mexican Peso. Is there any reason why?. I have some cash stored in Peso that I need to convert to US dollar but does anyone know how low the dollar will fall to the Peso. It was trading at US1=MXN11.1 until last week when it fell to US1=MXN10.78 Any currency broker and specialist in here?. Thank you. 4XTrader, are you saying it would be better for me to diverse some of my funds into another currency?. I have really been thinking about this. I think the US Dollar is going to fall even more and I have accounts in several other countries. But the Euro is already too high. I could convert some of my money in RMB.
Please help me correct my program to do the following: Expand the “Currency Conversion” program to have a menu “Currency Conversion” program to accept one input currency, which is error checked as a valid entry, and then display its equivalency in US dollars. & to have a menu that allows the user to choose which currency they wish to display in its equivalency to US dollars. Insert comments in the program to document the program internally. This is what I have and I dont know what else to do please help!!! #include <stdio.h> int main() { /* Declare Variable */ float curren0; float curren1; float curren2; float curren3; float curren4; float curren5; /* Define the Variable */ #define curren0 1.00 #define curren1 0.72459 #define curren2 0.0926775 #define curren3 7.8184 #define curren4 1.02712 #define curren5 10.5705 { /* Display the conversion to US Dollars */ printf("Currency Individual Assignment for Week 4:\n"); printf( "Japanese Yen is equivelant to $%f US\n", curren1); printf( "Mexican Peso is equivelant to $%f USD\n", curren2 ); printf( "Hong Kong dollar is equivelant to $%f USD\n", curren3 ); printf( "Chinese Yuan is equivelant to $%f USD\n", curren4 ); printf( "European Euro is equivelant to $%f USD\n", curren5 ); printf( "Type in a dollar amount to convert $"); /* Explains what the program is about*/ scanf( "%f", ¤0); /* currency input is assigned to the dollar currency variable*/ if ( curren0 <= 0){ printf( "Your input is too low and must be over $1.00, please try again:"); /* tells user their number is too low*/ } else { /* Display the conversion to US Dollars again */ printf("Currency Individual Assignment for Week 4:\n"); printf( "Japanese Yen is equivelant to $%f US\n", curren1); printf( "Mexican Peso is equivelant to $%f USD\n", curren2 ); printf( "Hong Kong dollar is equivelant to $%f USD\n", curren3 ); printf( "Chinese Yuan is equivelant to $%f USD\n", curren4 ); printf( "European Euro is equivelant to $%f USD\n", curren5 ); } return 0; } This program should be written in C not C++
opinions about the proposed new "AMERO" currency? Former Mexican Pres. V. Fox, & Pres. G.W. Bush are considering a new regional currency between USA,Mexico & Canada. Coins have been minted by the Denver Mint for a new idea called "North American Union"
Are terrorists trying to blend into the Mexican culture in an attempt to later harm the U.S.? CNSNews.com) - The chief law enforcement officers of several Texas counties along the southern U.S. border warn that Arabic-speaking individuals are learning Spanish and integrating into Mexican culture before paying smugglers to sneak them into the United States. The Texas Sheriffs' Border Coalition believes those individuals are likely terrorists and that drug cartels and some members of the Mexican military are helping them get across the border. Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez of Zapata County, Texas told Cybercast News Service that Iranian currency, military badges in Arabic, jackets and other clothing are among the items that have been discovered along the banks of the Rio Grande River. The sheriff also said there are a substantial number of individuals crossing the southern border into the U.S. who are not Mexican. He described the individuals in question as well-funded and able to pay so-called "coyotes" - human smugglers - large sums of money for help gaining illegal entry into the U.S. Although many of the non-Mexican illegal aliens are fluent in Spanish, Gonzalez said they speak with an accent that is not native. "It's clear these people are coming in for reasons other than employment," Gonzalez said. That sentiment is shared by Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.). "For years, Muslims and other 'Special Interest Aliens' from places other than Mexico have been streaming into the U.S. across our porous border," Tancredo told Cybercast News Service. "These people are not paying $50,000 or more a head just to 'take jobs no American will do.' "Terrorists are working round the clock to infiltrate the United States," he added. "Congress and this administration must address this gaping hole in our national security and they must do it now." Some of the more high profile pieces of evidence pointing to terrorist infiltration of the U.S. have been uncovered in Jim Hogg County, Texas, which experiences a high volume of smuggling activity, according to local law enforcement. "We see patches on jackets from countries where we know al Qaeda to be active," Gonzalez explained. The patches appear to be military badges with Arabic lettering. One patch in particular, discovered this past December, caught the attention of federal homeland security officials, according to Gonzalez and local officials familiar with the investigation. Sheriff Wayne Jernigan of Valverde County, Texas, told members of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee in March about one patch that read "midnight mission" and displayed an airplane flying over a building heading towards a tower. Translators with DHS have said some of the various phrases and slogans on the items could mean "martyr," "way to eternal life," or "way to immortality. " Gonzalez told the House International Relations Subcommittee on International Terrorism and Nonproliferation in July that the terrorists are getting smarter. "To avoid apprehension, we feel many of these terrorists attempt to blend in with persons of Hispanic origin when entering the country." Gonzalez stated. "We feel that terrorists are already here and continue to enter our country on a daily basis." Sheriff Arvin West of Hudspeth County, Texas, told Cybercast News Service that he believes some Mexican soldiers are operating in concert with the drug cartels to aid the terrorists. "There's no doubt in my mind," he said, "although the Mexican government and our government adamantly deny it." Statistics made available through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) show more than 40,000 illegal aliens from countries "Other Than Mexico," designated as OTMs, were apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol in the period ranging from October 2003 to June 2004, as they attempted to cross the southwestern border. An overview of border security challenges produced through the office of Texas Gov. Rick Perry indicates that almost 120,000 OTMs were apprehended while attempting to cross into the state from January through July 2005. Local authorities are particularly concerned about illegal aliens arriving from Special Interest Countries (SICs) where a radical version of Islam is known to flourish. Perry's office cites Iraq, Iran, Indonesia and Bangladesh among those countries. A Tancredo spokesperson said the list also includes Afghanistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Yemen. As Cybercast News Service previously reported an internal audit of DHS that combines the number of illegal aliens arriving from SICs with the documented instances of illegal aliens arriving from countries identified as being state sponsors of terrorism (SSTs) yields a grand total of over 90,000 such illegal aliens who have been apprehended during the five year period from fiscal year 2001 to fiscal year 2005. The border security report delivered by Perry's office focuses attention on the "Triborder region" of Latin America, which spans an area between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. "The Triborder Region is a focal point of Islamic extremism," the report states. "Al Qaeda leadership plans to use criminal alien smuggling organizations to bring terrorist operatives across the border into the U.S." Carlos Espinosa, a press spokesman for Tancredo, said his office is aware of a training camp in Brazil that actually teaches people from outside of Latin America how they can assimilate into the Mexican culture. "They come up as illegal aliens and disguise themselves as potential migrant workers," Espinosa said. Copyright 1998-2006 Cybercast News Service Lalalousie, or whatever....you are just pissed because you can't handle the truth.
The Mexican Trucks and the NAU? The resolution—sponsored by Republican Reps. Virgil Goode Jr. of Virginia, Tom Tancredo of Colorado, Walter Jones of North Carolina, and Ron Paul of Texas—expresses "the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union (NAU) with Mexico or Canada." http://www.canadafreepress.com/2006/cover121406.htm For the full story click the link provided. Question....Are the Mexican trucks due to be on the roads this week a sure sign the NAU and the Amero currency will be instituted against the citizens wishes?
Americans – tell me about the North American Union, open borders & possible Amero currency.? How do the American people feel about the future plan to unite Mexico, Canada and the USA into one united North American Union (NAU), just like the European Union? I thought people in the US wanted border security & limits on Mexican immigration. The North American Union proposes removing the US/Canada & US/Mexico borders and to allow unrestricted movement. Do USA citizens become citizens of the NAU? I understand Bush signed America into the NAU in March 2005? This explains the refusal to secure the southern border. But will millions of Mexicans relocating to the US overload public services? What about national security? How do Americans feel about a new currency? Are people in favour of the proposed replacement of the US dollar with the new Amero? The NAU isn’t just a trade agreement. It seems to be much more radical. If you don’t know about this, please don’t respond. I’m trying to learn from people that understand the NAU. Do American people understand the impact of what's going on? I can't understand why something of this gravity isn't being discussed. I'm British & live in London, but I'm stunned by the NAU & worried about its impact. Why aren't Americans??? ian d - There's no point saying it won't happen. It's already happening and Bush has signed America in. Research it.
Argentinian Pesos, Mexican Pesos? Please help.? I have some old money, and im thinking about exchanging it for US dollars. I have both argentinian and mexican pesos. Argentinian: 1000 pesos bill. Mexican: 2000 pesos bill dated 1989. 1000 pesos coins also from 1989 and 500 pesos coins from 1988. I know the exchange rates for this money, but people have told me that since the time these bills were printed both countries have switched to smaller currencies, meaning mine were worthless. Now my question, are my pesos still exchangable?
Mexican Bank deposit limit? Does anyone know what the limit is on deposits in a Mexican Bank Account in Mexico is per day? Meaning CASH deposit. Must deposits be with Pesos as cash or can other currencies be used?
What is the value of the U.S. Dallor Versus the Mexican Dallor? If I have 5k saved up, after the amero.....? Say for example I have $5,000 saved up, when mexico's currency is shared with ours, and we have ameros. Will my $5,000 only be worth $2500? What will the value of the dallor be versus the amero? This is really confusing, If i worked for 1 year, is it really like i only worked for 6 months? If bread is $2, will it jump to $4? How is mexico merging with america, going to effect us? Or will it be the other way around? If I have $5,000 will it be worth $10? Will bread go from $2 to $1? When are we getting our new flag? How many mexicans are going to move to america with the nafta highway? Is the middle class going to be bankrupt?

Traveling to mexico.. Requirements and necessities..? Hi, My friends and I will be traveling to Mexico by land the next weekend and I had a few questions... I did my research online but wanted to triple check before going on with the trip... *I read that we each require passport/birth certificate and a valid photo ID. Is this enough to cross to Mexico and back into the US? *Most of us are 18 but there are a few 17 year olds amongst us. Is that going to be a problem? Will they require that we all be 18? *Are travel visas required for all of us? We will only be staying 2 days and 1 night. If they are required, where can we get them and how much do they cost? *I heard that it is not necessary or recommended to exchange currency. Is this true? I don't need to have ANY money in Mexican currency? *Any hotel recommendations in Tijuana? Thank you in advance for good answers! =)
how to bribe people in mexico (puebla region)? Anyone of mexican descent please do not take offense at this but we are all aware there is a great deal of corruption of mexico and sometimes a little inducement gets you a long way Anyways, what is the appropriate method for bribing minor officials in Mexico, specifically the puebla/mexico city area in order to get through roadblocks, get service at a police station etc. Will Mexican currency do or is American needed? How much is too much, anyone you should not have to bribe or shouldn't try? what is a good method for completing the exchange in a quiet manner? anything else I didnt think of that you might know?

Pizza Patrón, a Texas-based chain with eight locations in the Valley, says its two-month Pizza for Pesos program will allow customers to purchase pizza with Mexican currency. currency converter? I have had the currency converter on my "my yahoo" page since the beginning. With the new format I do not see how to choose the currency I want to see displayed. I am totally not interested in the dollar to the yen or the pound. I regularly like to see how the dollar compares to the Canadian dollar or the Mexican Peso because I often visit these countries. When I click on "options" all I get is a box that would allow me to e mail someone to add the currency converter to their page. Can you tell me how to remove currencies or add others. Thanks, Greg
Currency Exchance Rate question? Ok so one US dollar is worth almost 11 mexican pesos. How many peso's does a vehicle cost in mexico? I mean if 1,000 USD = 11,000 peso's how much are their vehicles?
