Java currency converter code? I am coding a simple currency converter using arithmetic expressions, variables, and "shortcuts," and printing out to the console. Except, I don't really like these "shortcuts" as they make it more complicated and I truly don't understand how to make them work for this. Converting currency - explanation of formula? If I want to convert between currencies, and I have the strength of other currencies, in (for example) relation to one pound, how do I convert between them? Lets say £1 equals: Canadian Dollars $0.45 US Dollars $0.6 Euro €1.74 First of all, how do I convert £300 into the other currencies? Then, how do I convert 200 of the other currencies into pounds? Then, how would I convert, between the other currencies, for example, €350 into US$? I know there is a formula for this, but I cant find it and I keep getting confused with when to use division and when to use multiplication. What I do not want is to be linked to a currency converter or to just give the answers to my theoretical questions - ideally, I am looking for the formulas to understand how this all works. currency converter? I have had the currency converter on my "my yahoo" page since the beginning. With the new format I do not see how to choose the currency I want to see displayed. I am totally not interested in the dollar to the yen or the pound. I regularly like to see how the dollar compares to the Canadian dollar or the Mexican Peso because I often visit these countries. Question about Croatian Currency? Okay, well I went bike riding today at this park and found this bill: http://www.banknotes.com/HR26.JPG It was made in the year 1993 and I'm not sure if it's worth anything. I checked a currency converter and it said it was worth almost 9k, but that sounds too good to be true. I wanted to find out from someone who actually knows something about it before I try to go get it exchanged because it'd be embarrassing if it was an old currency not being exchanged anymore or worth like 5 cents. Also, IF it's worth anything significant, where could I get it exchanged? Also, please tell me how much it's worth in US Dollars since that is where I reside. Thank you. :]
