What are the effects of the majority of the world abolishing the U.S dollar as intl. trade currency, and why? I've been hearing bits and fragments about this topic, that started when Iran replaced the dollar with the Euro as it's foreign trade currency. Some people point out that if that were ever to happen on a wider scale, the U.S economy would collapse due in part to the 7 trillion debt (33% of which is to foreign nations/enterprises) that would have to be paid by a currency the U.S would have to buy instead of just paying in U.S dollars. I'm not an economist, but I hope that someone with a background on banking/economics would clear it up, away from propaganda, ideology ..etc.
is it best to use my bank to trade currency money or a website such as www.forex.com? I am not just talking about 1 time currency change, im talking about doing it frequently should i do my trading with the bank or another source would be better?

What exactly happens in a sell during a currency trade? assuming the firm I am using isn't just using its own clients against eachother...can you explain to me how this situation would work. I have $100,000 USD sitting in my pocket right now. I think that the EUR/USD price is going to go from .8 to .95. In other words I believe that the value of the dollar will rise against that of the euro, which could also be said that the value of the euro will decrease to that of the dollar. Pretty much what i'm saying is the dollar is going to look better than the euro. But I'm already holding onto 100K USD, how am i going to make money from such a situation? If i convert to eur today, it will give me 80K. I am speculating that in a few days my 100K converted to EUR is going to give me 95K. So how can I benefit from this speculation? What exactly needs to be done, what trade with whom? Thanks

Why should $ USD be the trading currency for all our international transaction? All our international transaction occurs in USD & not in INR. This occurs no matter whom we trade with. For example we buy crude oil from Saudi Arabia, yet we pay them in $ & not in Rial or INR. Why should we use $ in payment, why not INR or some other country be the trading currency. This not the case with India, all over the world they do this. Other dominant currency is euro. But why should international monetory be controled by rich nations, why not it be poor nation. Why should a fate of one country be decided by other country ?

Should I trade my declining Thai baht currency to USD now? Over the last couple of years the Thai baht has been gaining on the dollar. However, as of recent (and probably due to Wall Street), the Thai baht has decreased in strength. Would it be wisest to convert the THB to dollars now, rather than nine months from now? why did the USA change Iraq trade currency from Euro to Dollars, why did they decentralise Iraqi Oil? Not many people know, but Saddam changed his trade currency from the dollar to Euro in 2002. Straight after the evil invasion, America changed it back to the dollar, they also made Iraqs oil public, so that US coporations could basically control it. Spell Check; its a long term plan. Hi there everyone... Does anyone know of a place to trade a Bolivian bill for U.S. currency?? I have one 50,000 Boliviano that I have been trying to trade for American currency for a few years now. I have researched it and many places I was told to go or ask about the bill but to no avail. I had given up many times on trying to find somewhere that would trade this bill because I have been given the run around many times, thats one of the reasons I have had it for so long. From what I keep hearing.. Bolivia is supposed to be such a poor country that the money is worth nothing here... I'm not sure if this is correct or not.
