Java currency converter code?

I am coding a simple currency converter using arithmetic expressions, variables, and "shortcuts," and printing out to the console. Except, I don't really like these "shortcuts" as they make it more complicated and I truly don't understand how to make them work for this. I am providing a screen shot of my code to see if you can guide me in the right direction on how to this properly. I tried starting from USD to Mexican pesos but I don't know if it is right. I'm supposed to "Modify the program to convert among the currencies of the countries listed in someone's travel itinerary. All of their travel, lodging, and meals were paid in advance.  They left the United States with $2500.00.  She spent the 5210.25 pesos in Mexico, 99939.75 yen in Japan, and 814.50 Euro in France. How much  money did they return with to the United States (expressed  in dollars)?" http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a301/amca_owns/CurrencyConvCode.png Thanks in advance The numbers cut off for some reason. The person left the US with 2500.00 dollars They spent 5210.25 pesos in Mexico They spent 99939.75 yen in Japan and 814.50 Euros
