how do i get into currency trading? what classes or majors do i have to take?
where do i go to buy and sell the currency? are there any books on these for strategy?

- Any on line broker will let you buy and sell currencies, if you deposit enough money as collateral. It is a tricky game, certainly if you do very short term trading. In that case it is more like gambling really, and that is how I would look at it. For longer term positions, read publications from international central banks and books on monetary economics. Not easy, but very interesting...
- There are books. "Technical Analysis of Financial Markets" John Murphy is one. Currency trading is a very specialize occupation as is trading of any of the financial markets. It can not hurt to have a background in economics. And mathematics and logic would not hurt at all. They teach one to think locically. But I would almost be willing to bet that many successful currency traders have backgrounds as varied as one can possibly imagine.
