Currency

I found a piece of paper that appears to be foreign currency. How can I find out where it is from?

I have a peice of paper that I believe to be some sort of foreign currency. I have no idea how to identify it. I have tried numerous websites and cannot find anythig to help me. Anyone have any ideas? On one side of the bill there is a picture that appears to be a skinny Buddha and on the other side there is a stamp of a three headed elephant. The only English text is a number on the bottom corner that says 500,000,000.

  1. A bank can tell you what it is.
  2. You can take it to the Foreign Currency Exchange at airports and also banks might be able to tell you though they wont exchange it ....
  3. My guess (and this is just a guess, since there are no real banknotes that fit your description) is that you have something called a Hell banknote. It is Chinese tradition to burn piles of them at funerals so the deceased will have money to spend in Heaven. They aren't real banknotes, at least in this life. There are literally thousands of different types of these. They are interesting, but not especially valuable.
